Pros: blades are spread throughout the jar rather concentrated at the bottom as is the case with most blenders. Motor base is small, and the whole system takes up minimal space on one's counter by comparison to Vitamix or the myriad of overpriced kitchen machines like Vitamix on the market. This one is not as loud as vitamix, and out performs machines like Vitamix. My experience has been smooth drinks consistently, maybe one or two chunks, a lot better than Vitamix

Cons: Motor Base Can be Tricky to attack to the jars, so you'll need to have some patients LOL. The pour spout on the blender jar is not that great due to it being very wide, I wish the manufacturer made the pour spout more normal! (Pour spouts aren't typically that wide like they are on this one.)

The Bottom Line: i just got the professional version of this unit a few weeks ago, and am very impressed with it. The professional a slightly different than the version they demonstrate here, the motor base is more metal, and the blender jar has 6 blades instead of 4. 2 at the bottom, 2 in the middle, and 2 at the top. I appreciate that the motor base is not attaches at the top of the jars, rather than the bottom, makes it much easier to maintain than the average kitchen machine. What you'll notice right away if you get this machine is it takes up less space on your counter than the average kitchen machine because the motor base is very small by comparison to others on the market. I don't know what the version they demonstrate here costs, the professional version costs $70.00, and that's with a service plan, so it's a lot less expensive than Vitamix, and is superior to Vitamix. Vitamix costs nearly $500.00, and is very loud, and space consuming! I recommend the professional version of this unit, however, I imagine even the one they're showing here will out perform Vitamix which is an overpriced machine because with both versions of this machine the blades are spread through the jar rather than all the blades being at the bottom, and that is a much better technical design than the traditional blender. You'll find with this type of design when you're making a drink for example, your drinks will always come out smooth, maybe one or two chunks in the liquid, you get far better results than you ever will with any blender or food processor with the blades concentrated at the bottom of the jar including overpriced machines like Vitamix. So I would say if you're looking for a kitchen machine, this one is worth investing in, it's a lot less of an investment financially other so called high end machines which really aren't high end at all except in price!

The only advantage I can see with Vitamix or one of the other overpriced machines like it is, those machines come with a much better warranty than this one, this one only has a 1 year warranty, Vitamix has a 7 year warranty, so does that mean the motor base won't last more than 1 or 2 years? I don't know it's hard to say, you'll notice in the owners manual that it says not to run the motor base more than 15 seconds, however, due to the technical design of the system you won't ever need to run it longer than 10 seconds. That fact is something that needs to be noted though because that does raise a question why do they say in the owners manual not to run it more than 15 seconds? So it will be interesting to see what the life span of the motor base is.

One thing that's disappointing about the blender jar is the pour spout, I wish it were narrow rather than wide. A wide pour spout makes pouring difficult.

Sometimes it can be tricky getting the motor base onto the top of the jars due to they way the lids for the motor base attach to the tops of the jars, so you need to have a little patients there.

Overall I have no regrets about investing this machine, and would definitley recommend to anyone looking for a kitchen machine.

Now keep in mind, I don't have the version that Cordula reviews in this video, I have the professional of the Ninja Machine. I can only vouch for the Professional Version, I can't vouch for the version in this video, however, due to the technical of both versions, I say either one is a good investment, so if the version that Cordula is reviewing in this video is half the price of the one I have, and that's a big issue for you, than go with that one. The technical design seems to be about the same except for the blades, the version in the video review has fewer blades in the blender jar. If you're price conscious, I can assure you either version of this machine is far lower priced than Vitamix!
