  • Pros:
  • Comfortable and ergonomic handles
  • Unique Rock N' Chop Blade
  • Recessed Handle
  • The Price!
  • Cons:
  • Did not cut frozen meat, like the infomercial says
  • Does not compare to high-end knife sets

The Bottom Line:
These knives are great. They slice well, and can be used for a variety of kitchen tasks. The handles are easy to hold and cut with. Though these knives do not compare to high-end knife sets, for the price we think they are well worth it.

Pros: cuts really well in the beginning

Cons: rusts

The Bottom Line: ummm... dishwasher safe is not true. they are also really really really sharp... be careful! it is so so easy to cut yourself. I never even had such cutting issues with my wustoff. maybe i just knew to be more careful with the wustoff

Pros: Cheap price

Cons: Dulls & tarnishes very fast.

Bottom Line: After recieving the 15 piece set for Christmas the entire set was as dull as the wood block the knives came with. After several calls & emails, it was going to cost me more to ship the set back than the original cost of the set $39.95.

Their "guarantee" isn't worth the paper it's printed on!

Rating (1 - 10) A very poor 1!

Bottom Line: I bought my set back in 2002 and it still rocks. I have shopped around at high end places like Sur Latable, Williams Sonoma and have yet to find such a value. My sister is about to get married and I will be giving her a set of these among other gifts.

Pros: Offset handles are great to work with.
Knives are very sharp.
Filet knife works perfectly skinning fish.

Cons: Peeling knife doesn't have a natural feel to it.
Rocker ball takes a bit to get used to,

Bottom Line: I have been a professional chef for 20 years, and have seen companies claim this and that, so I decided to try these Miracle Blades in my restaurant setting.
The Rock 'N Chop, and Chop 'N Scoop took a bit to get used to because of the ball, but eventually I got used to it, and they perform like any professional knife I have ever used.
As for the filet knife, the person in the video does not know what she is doing (you can tell by just looking, if you've done it before. I'm surprised she didn't slice her finger off). I have had no problems skinning fish, plus the fact that I don't have to keep sharpening the filet knife like I would with a professional one.
I have put the slicer through the hardest time, just to see if it does what it is supposed to, and much like in the video, there are minor problems here and there (mostly cutting thick, frozen meat).
The only knife I didn't like was the peeling knife, I just couldn't get it to feel naturally in my hand, but peeling items with thin skins (i.e. tomatoes for garnish) worked fine.
Personally, I only paid $20 at Walmart for them, but for $20, they're a great set of knives.

Pros: very sharp
do not dull

Cons: cheap feel

Bottom Line: These knives are the sharpest and most durable knives you will ever use. You can saw field stone with the all purpose slicer and hack wood with the rock n chop and they won't dull. The filet knife is great if you know how to use it. The chop n scoop is fine but feels kind of cheap. Come to think about it all of the knives feel kind of cheap, but they don't cut that way.

Pros: Serrated knives work well
You get a lot of bang for your buck
Paring knife works quite well
Good steak knives

Cons: Poor quality blades
Too many gimmicky knives
Straight-edge blades dull quickly
Vastly outperformed by higher quality (forged) knives

Bottom Line: The main knife is the best of the set. This is because it's serrated, so it doesn't dull as easily as the straight-edge knifes, and boy do they dull easily. The blades are very thin, probably stamped out of sheet metal. This makes the edge go dull very quickly and in my opinion, makes the weight and balance poor. That being said, the price is very affordable.

Aside from the paring knife, all the straight-edge knifes are outperformed by my 8" chef knife. They seem gimmicky to me. The miracle blade stays sharp and is versatile, but i found it best suited for cutting bread and roasts.

This set is good entry level set. You get a whole lot of knives for pretty cheap, and they're not terrible. Once you use a higher quality knife (forged steel, not stamped) you'll realize the limitation of these knives. Also, there's too many knives - you don't need them all. A Chef knife, paring knife and a serrated knife can do everything this big set can (minus the steak knives, which are good). If the idea of paying over 60 bucks for a single knife seems absurd to you, buy these knives.

Pros:Blades stay sharp

Cons:Not enough steak knives for my family.

Bottom Line: My husband used the chop and scoop to scrape the texture off of our ceilings! It was the perfect size and plenty sharp. The knife was still good as new for chopping! I love this set especially the steak knives. Bought a set for each of my daughters....

Pros: The Rock n Chop, Chop n Scoop and Slicer are the main ones and they stay sharp after years of heavy use.

Cons: The shears and steak knives got dull rather quickly. The handles start to show wear and blades will rust if you put them in the dishwasher (applies to ALL the knives in the set).

Bottom Line: Given what I paid, well worth it.

Pros: Durable, lasts a while before needing to be sharpened.

Cons: Obviously tt doesn't work miracles. It's just a knife set.

Bottom Line: These knives do what they're made for. They're durable and the serrated edge keeps it working without being sharpened for far longer than most knifes.
Of course it rusts in the dishwasher. You should never leave a knife sitting in water. Knives are made from high carbon steel and high carbon steel rusts. Take good care of these and they won't rust.
You will have to sharpen these knives eventually. There isn't a knife that doesn't need to be sharpened at some point.

Pros: Durable. Cut well. Not expensive.

Cons: None.

Bottom Line: I haven't cut through a sledgehammer or a can of soda. For what I do in the kitchen, they're great.

Pros: The main knife is sharp.

Cons: It rusts. Customer service is horrible. Don't buy it.

Bottom Line: Don't make the same mistake I did and ordered from Miracle Blade's site. They charged me $10 for shipping which took more than two weeks. Target or Amazon are cheaper.
I washed them in the dishwasher and they rusted. They don't tell you not to wash them in the dishwasher. I called in to get a refund. First their computers were down, then they wanted to sell me another one. I eventually gave up. Don't buy from these scammers.

Pretty Cool

What it claims to do: The Miracle Blade III Perfection Series Knife Set claims to be the only knife set you'll ever need, providing quick and controlled chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing. And they claim it will never need sharpening.

What we found: The Miracle Blade's primary knife, the all purpose slicer was able to handle my everyday cutting tasks. It doesn't do miracles, but didn't let me down either. I particularly liked the recessed handle which allowed me to cut all the way down to the cutting board without having to tilt or reposition whatever I'm cutting. The cuts weren't as smooth as my normal knives (which are from the Henckels 5 star series) as the serrated edge on the slicer sometimes tears the food.

The Rock N' Chop does rock. It made my chopping work faster and easier. You can use the center section to chop say a potato in half and then use the edge to slice it up. The aerated edge at the center does a good job of releasing what you just sliced.

The Chop N' Scoop is a perfect complement to the Rock N' Chop. The control ball makes it easy to chop or mince herbs and the thin flat blade makes it easy to scoop up whatever I just chopped, almost like a spatula.

The paring knife is solid and comfortable to use. The included filet knife, shears and steak knives are nothing special.

As part of our testing we sawed through ten inches of one inch thick hard wood with an All Purpose Slicer. It took awhile. We compared that blade with a fresh out of the box All Purpose Slicer. The model we had tortured cut just as well as the new one.

Don't put these in the dishwasher. They may start to rust.

The Bottom Line: The all purpose slicer is sharp and dependable. With all the included knives, the Miracle Blade set is very versatile and performs well for the price point. It can withstand heavy use, but not the dishwasher.
